What are the rules of Poker?

Poker is one of the most popular types of card games and is a popular gambling game in casinos and clubs. There are a number of variants of Poker, however many of the rules remain constant. It is important that one learns the basics of poker before concentrating on a particular type.

All types of poker games are played with a single deck of playing cards. Cards are always delivered in clockwise fashion and need to be unmarked. The aim of the game is to make the cards that one is holding to be the best hand on the table. There are only two ways of doing this. One way is to actually be in possession of the best hand on the table, and the other way is to bluff about having the best hand on the table. This way a player can bluff his or her way to the victory pot.

When a person's turn comes, he or she can either pass on the game, bet to other person, and bet no chips yourself. If you are holding a good hand or planning to bluff your way to victory, then you can bet a certain number of chips on your hand. If the earlier player has bet a huge amount, then you can either consider folding in or call his or her amount with the same amount of chips. One can also raise the bets if they are holding a good hand.
